the importance of "hand made"

I like things that are hand made, with human imperfections with human time and effort. It keeps us close to human touch. Buy hand made things, because someone else took the time and effort to create something special. Some real living breathing person put love and care into creating, making, designing that something. To know the person who made the creation is even better because it reminds me of them, causing the object to save a memory, a story. And beauty comes simply in the fact that it was thoughtfully made by someone else. That is the beauty in growing your own garden or doing your own wood work or creating anything with your very own hands--it brings mankind closer together--replaces the cold heart of a machine with the warm heart of a person. People would be a lot happier if they made things for each other and bought and sold these things. Life would be warmer and communites would grow.

Sky Near

This artist's name is Sky Near, my mom bought two paintings of his for 5 dollars at a garage sale, but they have hung above the fireplace in my house my whole life, I couldn't find the ones we have, but here is a painting of his. He paints weird dripping houses, and I like them.
